Public Corporation "Petmol"

   Today public corporation "Petmol" involves dairy factory # 1 in St. Petersburg, separate workshop in "Parnas" industrial sector and dairy factories in Kronshtadt, Lomonosov and Krasnoye Selo. The enterprise is capable to process 550 tons of milk a shift. It produces more than 100 kinds of dairy products which allows to provide 50% of Petersburg's population with them.
   The corporation's production is known for its manifold assortment and high quality which is a result of the strategy aimed at technical reequipment and at introduction of new up-to-date technologies, automated and mechanized equipment.
   By 1992 the factory's equipment was worn out and the competitive activity of the production distribution market made it absolutely necessary that the enterprise should update its main production funds.
   From 1992 to 2000 the corporation's main manufacture was updated by 80%. New workshops were set up, old ones were reconstructed, new equipment was bought and introduced. In 1993 equipment for yogurt production was purchased from Italian company "Parmalat". In 1994 the factory with assistance of Swedish company "Tetra-Pack" and "Parmalat" (Italy) started to produce sterilised milk with 6 months shelf life.
   Today "Petmol" is a number of workshops producing yogurt (50 tons/day), processed cheese (26 tons/shift), sour cream (100 tons/shift), diet products (100 tons/shift), sterilized milk and cream (150 tons/day), children food (83 tons of processed milk daily).
   Production of close corporation "Petmol" is delivered for following regions: Altay, Komi, Minsk, Novosibirsk, Murmansk, Leningradskaya and Vologodskaya oblast, Norilsk, Krasnoyarsky country, Tumen and Tumenskaya oblast, Arkhangelsk and Arkhangelskaya oblast, Karelia, Novgorod and Novgorodskaya oblast, Pskov and Pskovskaya oblast.
   88-90% of the factory's production is distributed by "Petmol"'s Trade" group of companies. The rest is the factory's own sales to St. Petersburg's budget sector enterprises and special trade.
   The main trade marks of "Petmol":

• "Petmol" trade mark was developed together with Swedish company "Tetra-Pack" for milk and cream with long shelf life.
• "Lugovoye" trade mark is presented by pasteurized milk.
• "Doctor Petmol" trade mark: diet products ryazhenka, kefir, bifilife, bifidok.
• "Petmolino" trade mark: yogurt, fruit curd, fruit kefir.
• "Tema" trade mark: sterilized milk with vitamin C for children, kefir for children, curd -DM, curd paste.
• "Prostokvashino" trade mark: a number of high quality milk products - milk, kefir, ryazhenka, sour cream and yogurts with different fillings.

   Public corporation "Petmol" has fixed agreements with Petersburg's leading newspapers: "St. Petersburg's Vedomosti", "Nevskoye Vremia", "Chas Pik", "Smena", "Vecherny Petersburg". Apart from advertisement and articles in these editions, "Petmol"'s production is promoted at the market by means of TV, shield advertisements, subway advertisement, printed advertisements (posters), regular tastings in all largest commercial places of St. Petersburg.
   The corporation's production has been more than once marked at different exhibitions (in particular, in Berlin and Moscow).
   During 67 years of its activity "Petmol" became one of the largest factories not only in St. Petersburg, but in whole North-West region of Russia.
