Director of the Main Astronomy Observatory (Pulkovo) of the Russian Academy of Science.
    Born August 27, 1930.
    Graduated from the Odessa State University in 1953.
    He has worked at various institutes forming part of the Academy of Science, was the Head of the Theoretical Astronomy Department of the Leningrad Theoretical Astronomy Institute.
    He is a specialist of means and methods of theoretical astronomy, the author of a wide range of research workes in the field of cosmic mechanics and astral dynamics.
    Doctor of Physical-Mathematics and Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Science.
    Winner of State Award of the USSR.
