   Chairman of St. Petersburg's Legislative Assembly.
   Born July 15, 1959 in Frunze (modern-day Bishkek), Kirghizia. Graduated from Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute in 1982.
   Worked as Deputy Director of "Lenexpo" exhibiting complex, later as Commercial Director of a computer-manufacturing joint enterprise. Founded a private enterprise of his own in 1991. Currently involved in business activity.
   Coordinator of "Mariinskaya" faction.
   Married, has a son and two daughters.
