Born on July 16 in 1957. Graduated from the journalist faculty of Saint-Petersburg State University(1979).

Worked as a correspondent for the weekly "Svetlana" of "Svetlana" association(1980-88), correspondent for the newspaper "Leningradskaya Pravda" (1988-90).

From 1990 - the deputy head, from 1991 года - the first deputy head of the chief editor of "Nevskoe Vrema" newspaper. In 1994 she was elected chief editor of the newspaper.
