Goloshchyokin David Semyonovich

Jazz musician and arranger.
    Born June 10, 1944 in Leningrad.
    Graduated in 1960 from the musical school at the Leningrad Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory.
    Since1961 has worked as a professional musician.
    He can play the piano, the trumpet, the saxophone, the violin, the bass, the drums, and the vibraphone very well. Has played in the Vikharev Quartet, the Petrenko Octet and Weinstein big-band.
    Founded in 1969 his own jazz band.
    Founded in 1989 the State Philharmonic Society of Jazz (currently St.-Petersburg Philharmonic Society of Jazz).
    Honourary Artist of Russia.
