Singer (tenor),
folk-and pop-music singer.
Born September 1, 1948 in Kazan. Graduated from the Leningrad Repin Painting, Sculpture and Architecture Institute as an artist- architect. Debuted as a singer in the first Soviet Rock - opera "Orpheus and Eurydice" by Zhurbin. Was awarded "Music Week" musical magazine Diploma (Great Britain) for his part singing Orpheus.
Sang the leading parts at the rock operas "Flemish Legend" by Greenblatt K. and "Races" by Vasilyev A.
His last work, the leading part in the folk suite (Koran plot) "Magdi" and his leading part in the rock opera "The Cuckoo Cry" should be pointed out.
Participates in musical programs on radio and TV, performs with rock groups symphonic orchestras. Often goes on tour abroad and in Russia. Has recorded the compact disks "The Endless Way" and "The Best Songs".
Honourary Artist of Russia.
Winner of the Union Variety Artists Contest IV and of the International "Golden Orpheus" Contest (Bulgaria).
Included in the "World Encyclopedia of jazz, pop and rock music.
