Writer.
Born April 15, 1933 in Leningrad.
Graduated in Astronomy from the Mathematics and Mechanics Faculty of the
Leningrad State University.
Worked at Pulkovo Observatory.
Since the second half of the 50-s has started writing books with his brother,
Strugatsky A.
In 1959 the first story by Strugatsky brothers was published in the "Tekhnika Molodyozhy"
magazine.
More then 25fancy novels, stories were written for more than 30 years of the joint creativity
(up to the death of Strugatsky A.N. in 1991).
Midday of the XX Century. Homing", "Attempt to Escape", "Predatory Things of the Century",
"It's Difficult to Be the God", "A Snail Aslope", "Picnic on a Shoulder", "Monday Starts
on Saturday", etc made him very popular.
Winner of the Hugo Prize in the field of Science fiction.
Member of the St.-Petersburg Writers Union.
Married with son.
