Sergeyeva Irena Andreyevna
Born in Leningrad October 2, 1936. Her roots are in the Orel region on her father's side and in the Novgorod region on her mother's side.
Graduated from the Library Institute. Worked as librarian and bibliographer.
She first began publishing her works in 1960. Her first book titled "The Guest" was published in 1973. Became a member of the U.S.S.R. Writers' Association in 1976. Author of literary criticism articles, translations from Ukrainian, Belorussian, Georgian and Serbian.
Founder, organizer and editor of "Day of Russian Poetry" anthology (published since 1994), of a series of poetry and prose collections. Her poetry has been published in over a dozen of books.
Laureate of Russia's Writers' Association's "Tradition" award (1996).
