Kushner Alexander Semyonovich
Poet.
Born September 14, 1936 in Leningrad.
Graduated from the Leningrad Herzen Pedagogical Institute (1959).
Worked as a Russian Teacher at a High school (1959- 1970).
Author of eleven poetic books: "The First Impression" (1962), "The Voice"" (1978), "The
Tavrichesky Garden"(1984).
Writes verses for children.
Translator.
Has published a book of critical articles.
Chief Editor of the "new Poet's Library".
Member of the St.-Petersburg Writers' Union.
Winner of the Russian State Prize in the field of Literature and Arts (1966).
Married with two sons.
