"Leninets" Holding Company
"Leninets" is Russia's first holding company created on the basis of enterprises specializing in the development and production of radioelectronic systems. In its development the Company has gone through all stages of integration, from a research and production association to an open joint stock company.
The Company incorporates factories, research organizations and construction enterprises, as well as automobile and air transportation and guarantee service enterprises. The company also includes material and technical supply enterprises, enterprises of the social sphere (hotels, recreation facilities and tourist bases), law, finance and investment firms. The company possesses a well-developed testing polygon with its own airport and a stock of aviation machines, and also a regional testing center, accredited by the Russian Federation's Certification System. The company possesses a highly-qualified staff with an enormous potential. The preparation of specialists is conducted at all educational levels, including engineering training at the Institute of Intellectual Systems and Technologies created by the Holding Company on the basis of the St. Petersburg State Technical University, and at the Company's graduate school. A Council in charge of Candidate's and Doctoral Dissertations is also functioning under the Company's auspices.
"Leninets" Holding Company develops and manufactures various products, which may be divided into several main categories:
- radioelectronic systems for aviation: radio location stations, piloting and navigation systems, board computers and special signal processors, board complexes for the automated control of aviation machines' equipment.
- radio location systems for the Navy and for land troops.
- UHF components: attenuators, circulators, directed branching devices, flexible and rotating wave passages, fricative and phased antenna fences, amplifiers, transformers and other components. The Company makes sensors and systems for the measurement of physical fields, bursting electric connectors and jacks of various types.
- navigation systems.
- refrigerators: "Leninets" Holding Company is one of Russia's chief makers of ecologically safe absorption refrigerators.
- electric vacuum cleaners.
- water purification systems.
- dose meters and devices for measuring the intensity of ultraviolet emission.
- medical equipment.
- non-intrusive control devices.
- construction and real estate.
Communication and security systems, systems of nuclear power plant control, steering systems for subway train cars, trams, trolley-buses and railroad trains are also among the Company's products. Particular attention in the Company's production strategy is paid to key technological developments. "Leninets" is one of the world market's leaders in some areas of technology, such as the creation of new samples of radioelectronic complexes for military and civil use, the introduction of high-technology developments, previously used only in special technical projects, into the civil market spheres, and in the production of geophysical scanning devices.
