Khizhnyakov Vladimir Viktorovich
Born July 24, 1946 in Priyutnoye village, Apanasenkovsky district, Stavropol region.
His mother was a teacher, his father a Soviet Army officer. His wife is an economic analyst.
Graduated from Leningrad Engineering and Construction Institute, specializing in construction engineering.
Worked as a boatsman on a tanker, as a mechanic at Lenenergo's heating network, as a construction project's Chief, as Chief of a department, as Deputy Chief Engineer, as Deputy Director.
Director of Auto Service Technical Equipment of Small Enterprises research and technology center under the federal Central Machine-building Construction Bureau at the present moment.
In his free time V.V. Khizhnyakov enjoys fishing and hunting, likes working at his country garden lot, travelling and making films.
His favorite expression: "Wanting is not sufficient, one must act".
V.V. Khizhnyakov believes that St. Petersburg must be the true cultural capital of Russia, like it was before.
His favorite places in the city are St. Alexander Nevsky Lavra, embankments of the Neva, Vasilievsky Island, Petrograd Side.
He believes that in order to revive the city the majority of finances earned by it must remain here.
