The studio started its work during the last days of October 2000 at the place of a skating-ring "Crystal" managed by administration of the Krasnogvardeisky district.

The organizational and manager's job of the present studio does the chief of Operations Department of the St. Petersburg state ballet on ice, Tatyana Ivanovna Zarkh. The creative support for the studio provides the director the St. Petersburg state ballet on ice M. B. Kaminov, together with the chief of Physical Culture, Sport and Youth Affairs V. V. Schavlev and the director of the skating-ring "Crystal" V. M. Shadrina.

Highly qualified pedagogues work in the studio. The coach is L. S. Mozhina -- Master of sports in figure skating and former soloist of state ballet on ice; its choreograph is K. A. Yudin.

Today in the studio 20 children of 8-18 years of age study.
