In December of 2001, by the paintings section of the Union of Painters, the exhibition of Marina Busaryeva works was presented under the name of "Pandemoium".
"Pandemonium is ancient, by origin, folk art holiday". The holiday is celebrated on the fourth Saturday after the Easter Holiday, annually.
By its origin is connected to ancient culture of Earth and connected with Nature's rejuvellation and renaissance after winter. The celebration is famous for its songs and dances. Remarkably contrast combination of lamentation and gaiety is present there.
This holiday ritual phases covered traditional fist fights, songs, dances, whistles (these are principally hinted in the holiday name, when translated to Russian), the rolling of clay balls from river banks.
During this holiday, clay whistles and balls were usually on sale, which later formed the art of Dymkovskaya Toy.
The laughing at Pandemonium Day was symbolizing Life Resurrection, the whistle noise was aimed at frightening the beginnings of evil. Normally, the holiday was celebrated close to water source, at the River banks for example. Waters bore its own sense to the holiday rhythm.
Marina Busaryeva realized the meaning and touching force of this piece of folk life in her "Pandemonium" art work. There she truthfully reflected various aspects of national art, through searching for its base - from craftsmanship -- to its essence.
This vivid interest expression is caught in her easel painting work.
