Annenkov Anatoly Sergeevich

   Born in 1959. Graduated from I. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1988.
   His works are exhibited in private collections in Russia and abroad (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, the UK). A. Annenkov has participated in local and international exhibitions since 1988. Since 1990 he has been a member of the Russian Artists' Association. Lives and works in Saint-Petersburg.
   Anatoly Annenkov's abstract works are original picturesque reflections about the past of mankind and extinct civilizations. As a rule, those are sunny Southern worlds penetrated with light and air which make up the essence of Annenkov's art. Hieroglyphics, various Eastern symbols, geometrical figures are put in compositions, creating images full of hidden meaning. It is only guessed by the spectator on the basis of the atrist's precise choice of colour, invoice surfacing of canvases and movement of lines.
